J&K LG condemns killing of police Inspector in Anantnag

Srinagar, Oct 20 (UNI) Strongly condemning the killing of police Inspector Mohammad Ashraf by militants in Anantnag on Monday night, Lt Governor Manoj Singh said that such heinous attacks are attempts to create disturbance at a time when the Valley is witnessing an unprecedented developmental push.
Police Inspector, Mohammad Ashraf was shot dead by gunmen in south Kashmir district of Anantnag last night when he was on way to home after offering prayers in a local mosque.
The Lt Governor expressed his anguish over the killing and said that such heinous attacks are attempts to create disturbance at a time when the Valley is witnessing an unprecedented developmental push. Our police force will remain firm against such acts of terror and perpetrators will be brought to justice, he announced.
