Srinagar, Jun 14 (UNI) Director General of Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday sanctioned Rs 35 lakh special welfare relief in favour of Next of Kin (NoK) of deceased police personnel and Special Operation Group (SOG), a police spokesman said Monday afternoon.
He said continuing with its endeavour to provide financial assistance to the families of the police personnel who have passed away while in service, the DG Mr Singh has sanctioned Rs 35 lakh as Special Welfare Relief for NoKs of deceased police personnel and SPOs.
The special welfare relief of Rs 19 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of dependents and legal heirs of deceased police personnel Selection Grade Constable (Sgct) Manzoor Ahmad who expired due to illness while in service.
