HP govt revokes suspension of police officers booked in Suraj custodial death case

Shimla, Nov 25 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government on Monday issued an order, revoking the suspension of IPS officer Zahur Haider Zaidi, HPS officer D W Negi and Manoj Joshi, who were placed under suspension on August 29, 2017, after they were booked by the CBI in the custodial death case of Suraj, a Nepal national, who was made a suspect in the Gudiya rape case.
In three separate orders passed by the government on November 23, they were revoked with immediate effect, as the Government followed this exercise after the approval of Governor Badaru Dattatreya, under the Conduct and Civil Service rule on November 16, 2019.
The trio remained in the CBI and judicial custody, after they were booked in custodial death of Suraj, a suspect in Gudiya rape case.
