Chandigarh, Nov 1 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today flagged off 40 new tippers and 2 JCBs from a ground situated at Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), Karnal.
These new tippers have been provided to Municipal Corporation, Karnal under the Smart City Project. The total number of tippers collecting garbage from houses has been increased to 90 in the corporation. Now there will be availability of 4 tippers in every ward instead of 2 across the city which will improve the work of garbage collection and transporting it to the solid waste plant.
The Chief Minister congratulated the Municipal Corporation and the people of the city on the inclusion of new tippers in the sanitation works of the Municipal Corporation. The new tippers are different from earlier tippers. Notably, the new 40 tippers have green and blue paint to segregate wet and dry waste and are equipped with separate boxes. With this, the sanitation workers will not face any problem while collecting and segregating garbage collected from door to door.
