Haryana villagers will have power to remove non-working panchayat members

Chandigarh, Aug 25 (UNI) Panchayati Raj System in Haryana is soon going to witness a significant change as Haryana is going to be the first state in the country where the villagers will have the power to remove the non-working panchayat representatives from their post.
Similarly, the sarpanch of every other village will be women, which will be a revolutionary step for women of rural areas. It will be discussed by bringing the bill in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Session starting from August 26.
Interacting with the media persons on Tuesday, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal had a dream that if the elected representative of Panchayati Raj Institutions loses his faith in the people, then people should get the 'Right to Recall'. He said that it should be discussed in the Vidhan Sabha.
