Haryana CS directs to purchase ambulances for trauma care centres located on highways

Chandigarh, Aug 31 (UNI) Haryana Chief Secretary Keshni Anand Arora has directed the officers to purchase ambulances for trauma care centres located on the state highways and national highways of the state to ensure that lives of accident victims can be saved by bringing them timely to these trauma care centres.
While this will not only help in reducing the death rate caused due to road accidents, but will also save injured persons by providing them immediate first aid, she said while presiding over the 3rd meeting of Fund Management Committee under Haryana Road Safety Fund Rules held here on Monday.
Ms Arora directed the officers that after inspecting all the roads in the state, CCTV cameras should be installed at accident prone areas and road junctions to find real cause for accident. She directed the Urban Local Bodies Department to properly get the data of CCTV cameras installed in their periphery analyzed by the Police Department so as to find the real cause of road accidents and avoid future accidents.
