Six killed, five from one family, in Muzaffarnagar road accident

Muzaffarnagar, Oct 1 (UNI) Six people, including five members of the same family, were killed when a speeding car rammed into a stationary lorry on the Panipat-Khatima highway near Titawi in Muzaffarnagar district early this morning. The incident occurred around 5:30 am.
Police sources confirmed the car was travelling from Karnal, Haryana, to Haridwar, Uttarakhand, to immerse the ashes of Mahendra Juneja, a family member who had died of cancer three days earlier.
The deceased were identified as Mahendra’s wife, Monika (40); son, Piyush (19); two sisters, Anju and Mohini; brother-in-law, Rajendra; and the driver, Shiva. All victims were residents of Faridpur, Karnal.
