Four drown in river Ganga during idol immersion in UP’s Badaun

Badaun, Oct 16 (UNI) Four people were drowned during idol immersion at Kachla Ganga Ghat under Ujhani area of ​​Badaun district on Friday night, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr OP Singh said here on Saturday.
SSP Singh said that on Friday night a family had come from Mohalla Nahar in Firozabad district for idol immersion.
During Durga idol immersion, six people were swept away by the river but 2 were rescued.
Deepak Gupta (45), Kunal Sharma (17), Bhola alias Bholenath (15) and Ramu (35) drowned in Ganga. But the bodies were yet to be recovered.
SSP said that from today morning the rescue operation is being conducted again for the recovery of the dead bodies.
