Firozabad, July 25 (UNI) Three persons were killed and 100 others injured when a double decker bus in which they were travelling collided with a truck in Nagla Khangar area of Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Ran Vijay Singh here said that the incident took place on Wednesday night when the bus going to Delhi from Bahraich collided with the sand-laden truck on Agra-Lucknow expressway. "Around 150 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the incident of which 100 sustained injuries," he said.
He said that the injured have been admitted to the hospitals in Shikohabad and medical college in Saifai. "While bus driver Irfan died on the spot, two passengers, including Ramdev, died during treatment," the SP said.
Singh said for the remaining passengers in the bus, vehicles were arranged and they were sent to Delhi. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Firozabad visited the hospitals and directed the doctors to ensure proper treatment to the injured.
