Blast in furnace of industrial unit injures 10 in Punjab

Fatehgarh Sahib, Aug 29 (UNI) Ten labourers were injured in a blast at the furnace of an industrial unit in Mandi Gobindgarh of district Fatehgarh Sahib on Saturday.
As per the information received, the blast occurred in the industrial unit, when the labourers were melting scrap near the furnace of the unit.
Total 10 labourers received burn injuries, out of which, six were referred to a Chandigarh-based hospital. The condition of two labourers was stated to be serious.

Collector, SP transferred

Ms Priyanka Das replaces Collector Abhay Kumar Verma who has been shifted to Mantralaya and Mr Tarun Nayak takes over from SP Raghuvansh Kumar Singh posted as Assistant Inspector General, Headquarters.

Diggy slams Jyotiraditya

Bhopal, Oct 26 (UNI) Continuing his assault on Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart Jyotiraditya Scindia, Madhya Pradesh’s erstwhile chief minister Digvijaya Singh underlined on Monday that it would be “injustice” to compare Mr Scindia with his sire.
“I worked closely with Mr Madhavrao Scindia. The Congress provided unalloyed respect and ample opportunities to both father and son,” Mr Singh conveyed via social media and posted a news report alongside.
