Three killed, 8 injured in Doda road mishap

Jammu, Oct 23 (UNI) Three persons were killed and eight others injured when a taxi they were traveling in met with an accident in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police here said that this afternoon at about 1420 hours one taxi (JK06-5717) on its way from Doda towords Hambal met with an accident.
Three persons died on the spot, police said adding that eight others suffer injuries.

Bhopal, Dec 5 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on Saturday that a campaign be launched for making Ayushman cards so that beneficiaries receive free annual treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh each under the Ayushman Bharat ‘Niramayam’ Yojana, official sources said.
The senior politician chaired a related meeting at Mantralaya.

Bhopal, Dec 5 (UNI) Setting the tone for the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Bill, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on Saturday that no individual will be allowed to convert another through marriage, allurement or intimidation.
The senior politician discussed the format of the proposal for legislation with his officers at Mantralaya, it was officially learnt.

MP winning war against COVID-19: CM

Bhopal, Dec 5 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan underlined on Saturday that – with his dispensation and society working in tandem – measures against the novel coronavirus have been effective and that is reflected in a declining infection rate, official sources said.
Addressing a meeting at Mantralaya, the senior politician averred, “Greater care is called for in Bhopal and Indore. The collectors should comprehensively discuss the situation with District-level Crisis Management groups. If there is consensus vis-à-vis extending markets’ closing time from 2000 to 2200 hrs then let it be so.”

He solicited inputs regarding availability of beds, equipment and oxygen in private and government infirmaries in these two districts. The Collector, Indore, emphasised that the contagion spread as a direct consequence of crowds owing to festivals and weddings.

Swachhta Seva Samman in MP

Bhopal, Dec 5 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed satisfaction on Saturday over the fact that the state has been scripting national records for years in the cleanliness arena.
“Indore was honoured as the cleanest city on four successive occasions in the annual Swachh Survekshan,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying while presenting Swachhta Seva Samman at the city’s grand Minto Hall to several urban bodies – including ones in Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain, Sagar, Jabalpur – that emerged numero uno in various categories of the Cleanliness Survey.

MP Guv releases ‘Kshitij’

Bhopal, Dec 5 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel on Saturday released – at Raj Bhavan – the second annual issue of the Regional Passport Office’s magazine ‘Kshitij’ that includes articles on health, it was officially learnt.
In the words of Regional Passport Officer Rashmi Baghel, “Our workplace was honoured on World Hindi Day by the External Affairs Ministry for progressive use of the official language during 2019. With the noble objective of promoting original writing in that tongue, a book review competition was also organised and witnessed enthusiastic participation. Following COVID-19 prevention guidelines with sensitivity, the Passport Seva kendras and Post Office Passport Seva kendras were recommenced in a phased manner plus novel style. A virtual passport court was conducted to resolve pending cases.”
