Jaipur, Nov 16 (UNI) As many as 317 candidates entered the fray in Rajasthan on Friday for December 7 Assembly elections taking the total number of the contestants, filing nominations so far since November 12, up to 580.
Former Ministers Dr Jitendra Singh (Khetri), Brijendra Singh Ola (Jhunjhunu) both from Congress, Ajay Singh Kilak (BJP) Richpal Mirdha (Cong) and his son Vijaipal filed (all three from Degana) and Satish Punia (BJP-Amer) filed their papers.
Former BJP Minister late Dr Digambar Singh's son Dr Shailendra Singh(Deeg-Kumher), BJP legislator late Dharmpal Chaudhary's son Manjit(Bansur) also entered the fray.
Former Minister Banwari Lal Sharma's son Ashok (BJP) and ex-Finance Minister Pradhyuman Singh's son Rohit(Congress) filed candidature for Rajakhera seat in Dholpur district.
