NCW writes to CEC over Kamal Nath's comments against woman leader

New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) National Commission for Women has written to the Chief Election Commissioner with regard to the alleged derogatory comments made by the Congress leader Kamal Nath on a woman leader in Madhya Pradesh.
NCW on Monday said that it has come across some news reports where Kamal Nath, Leader of Opposition in MP Assembly, made offensive and derogatory remarks against a woman leader while he was addressing a political rally in Dabra, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
The commission stated that the words used by him in the video that has come up are highly defamatory and show disrespect towards the dignity of a woman, and also called it very unfortunate when such words come from a person on a responsible position.
The commission has also sought an explanation from Mr Kamal Nath and has forwarded the matter to EC for taking necessary action into matter.
