I will lead campaign in Uttarakhand: Rawat

New Delhi, Dec 24 (UNI) Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Friday said he will lead the campaign for the Congress in assembly elections in Uttarakhand.
Rawat made the announcement after party leader Rahul Gandhi here. He said he will accept any decision taken by Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Asked if he would be the Chief Ministerial candidate, he said a decision on that would be taken after the polls.
Rawat met Gandhi on Friday, two days after Rawat took to Twitter complaining about non-cooperation from the state Congress.
In a series of Tweets on Wednesday, the Congress leader, who has emerged as a popular candidate in the stats as per surveys and is known as a troubleshooter for Congress, said he was tired of swimming in the sea of elections and was not getting support from the organisation.
Uttarakhand goes to the polls early next year.
