New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) Lifeline of the national capital, Delhi Metro, came full throttle on Saturday, as it resumed regular services on all Lines, after remaining closed for around five months, owing to the COVID-induced lockown, registering overall ridership of around 1,52,845, a DMRC spokesperson said here.
Giving Linewsie breakup of approximate ridership till 1930 hrs, the spokesperson said that on Line 1, the ridership was 19904; on Line 2, it was 44949; on Line 3, it was 42177; on Line 4, it was 4846; on Line 5, it was 7197; on Line 6, it was 14689; on Line 7, it was 8135; on Line 8, it was 8049; on Line 9, it was 631 and on Airport Line, it was 2268.
'Now that services are resumed on all the Lines from today, DMRC will be henceforth making public only the 'Line utilisation' figures, as was done before the lockdown, as these figures only reflect the actual utilisation of a Metro system, which is spread around 400 km, with 28 interchange stations providing comprehensive connectivity to the Delhi-NCR people,' he added.
