New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot met with Minister of State (IC), Power and NRE R K Singh on Thursday via video-conferencing, to discuss the installation of charging infrastructure in Delhi NCR, as part of the recently-launched Electric Vehicle policy.
The meeting attended by officials from DHI, MoPNG, CEA, BEE, NTPC, EESL, Transport department officials, and various DISCOMS discussed various provisions for effective implementation and any bottlenecks that may arise due to limited availability of charging infrastructure within Delhi.
The Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy, which was launched on August 7, 2020 by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, aimed at having five lakh (25 per cent of all new vehicle registrations) electric vehicles in Delhi by 2024.
