75 years of independence should inspire to work for the country: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Oct 2 (UNI) The celebrations of the 75 years of independence should inspire the people to dedicate their lives to the country, Home Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday.
The Minister was speaking after flagging-off an All India Car Rally of National Security Guard (NSG), 'Sudarshan Bharat Parikrama' from the historic Red Fort. He also also flagged-in All India Cycle Rallies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
Shah remembers Mahatma Gandhi and former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversary, and said they have left an 'indelible mark' on India's history.
"It is our collective responsibility that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we make the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' a source of inspiration and a medium for awakening consciousness and make it a path for the development of India," Shah said.
"We may not get the privilege of sacrificing our life for the country, but it is in our hands to live for the country," he said.
The Home Minister said if all 130 crore Indians should make a resolution during the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to contribute to nation building.
"If our youth, scientists and technocrats join, it is all possible. All that is happening in the world, can happen in India as well. We have to move forward with this self-confidence,” he said.
Shah also lauded the armed forces and said, "Central Armed Police Forces personnel are guarding the borders of the country in difficult conditions ranging from minus 43 to 43 degrees Celsius temperature, and, due to their sacrifice, today the country is safe and moving on the path of development".

He also called for making India a hub of manufacturing under the Make in India scheme.
