SC agrees to hear Gyanvapi case before Nov 12, after Hindu side seeks further extension of protection to Shivling

New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) The Supreme court on Monday said it will hear the case filed by Hindu parties in the Gyanvapi mosque case before November 12 in detail, as Hindu parties moved the Supreme Court seeking further protection for the Shivling which was earlier given till November 12.
Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, appearing for the Hindu parties, in the Gyanvapi case mentioned the matter before the Supreme Court bench, headed by Justice Dr Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud and also comprising Justice Hima Kohli that the case requires an urgent hearing as the tenure of the protection period granted by the court is getting over on November 12.
"The protection earlier given by the Supreme Court, expires on November 12, so thereby the Apex Court should list this matter for an urgent hearing," Jain told the Apex Court bench led by Justice Dr Chandrachud.
Jain told the bench of the Supreme Court that the case was scheduled for hearing on October 20, but did not come up for hearing. The bench agreed with Jain's submission and said that it will hear the case in detail on November 12.
