New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Supreme Court will on Monday pronounce its judgement on a batch of petitions challenging the validity of the 103rd Constitution amendment providing 10 per cent reservation to economically weaker sections (EWS) persons in admissions and government jobs.
The Supreme Court's 5-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Uday Umesh Lalit, and also comprising Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, S Ravindra Bhat, Bela M Trivedi and JB Pardiwala, who held hearing for seven days, will pronounce the judgement on November 7.
Importantly, CJI Lalit is going to demit his office on November 8, 2022, after which the second senior most judge, of the Top Court, Justice Dr Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chadrachud, will be taking over the reins from him on November 9.
