Safdarjung incident: 5 docs debarred from duty, showcause notices to HoD, CMO

New Delhi, July 19 (UNI) The Union Health Ministry swung into the action concerning the tragic incident where a 30-year-old woman was forced to deliver a child outside a government hospital after she was allegedly not admitted there.
The Union Ministry directed the administration of Centre-run hospital, where the incident was reported, to debar five doctors and one intern from performing their duties.
Meanwhile, a professor and Chief Medical Officer from the Obgynae department of the hospital were served showcause notices asking their reply in 24 hours about "why a disciplinary action may not be initiated against them."
