Rahul constitutes Congress Working Committee with 51 members

New Delhi, July 17 (UNI) Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday constituted the Congress Working Committee (CWC) with 51 members, including 23 CWC members, 18 permanent invitees and 10 special invitees.
The list, released by AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot includes the names of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, former party president Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Veteran leader Motilal Vora, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sbaha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, senior party leaders AK Antony, Ahmed Patel, Ambika Soni, Oommen Chandy, Tarun Gogoi, former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy leader of the Congress in Rajya Sabha Anand Sharma, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat, former Union Minister Kumari Selja, Mukul Wasnik, Avinash Pande, KC Venugopal, Dipak Babaria,Tamradhwaj Sahu, Raghuveer Meena, Gaikhangam and Ashok Gehlot as the CWC members.
The list of 18 permanent invitees to the CWC include former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit, former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, party's chief whip in the Lok Sbaha Jyotiraditya Scindia, Mr Balasaheb Thorat, Mr Tariq Hameed Karra, AICC general secretary P C Chacko, former Union Minister Jitender Singh
and R P N Singh, senior leader P l Punia, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala, Ms Asha Kumari, Rajya Sabha MP Rajni Patil, Mr Ram Chandra Khuntia, Anugrah Narayan Singh, Rajeev Satav, Shaktisih Gohil, Gaurav Gogoi and Dr A Cheila Kumar.
The special invitees include K H Muniyappa, Arun yadav,Deepender Hooda,, Jitin Prasada, Kuldip Vishnoi, the presidents of the INTUC, IYC , the NSUI and the All India Mahila Congress and chief organiser of the Congress Seva Dal.
Mr Gehlot said all the AICC independent incharges, heads of all frontal organisations of the Congress party mentioned in the list shall be the ex-officio members of the Congress working committee as Permanent and Special invitees respectively.
The reconstituted Congress Working Committee, the party's highest decision-making body, is a blend of young and old leaders.
