Uttarakhand: Development only if BJP forms govt with full majority, says Shah

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday sounded the poll bugle for the Uttarakhand Assembly elections next year and said voters must ensure that BJP comes to power in the state with full majority so that the wave of development continue.
"Uttarakhand has seen overall development in the last four years and the BJP is committed to the development of the hilly state under the leadership of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami," Shah said while addressing a rally in Dehradun.
Attacking Congress' “politics of appeasement” he said "they can not develop Devbhoomi".
“Congress is a party of promise-breakers. They are in politics only to seize power, their focus is not on welfare state,” the BJP leader said.

Coming down heavily on the arch-rival in the state, Shah said, "The Congress people were nowhere to be seen during Covid-19, or the floods that ravaged the state. But when elections are nearing, they have started emerging and doing press conferences.
“Congress party remains synonymous with corruption, and scams but the good administration and welfare of the poor can only happen under the leadership of Modiji,” he said.
“The cooperative movement was weakened under the Congress rule, but by creating a separate Cooperative Ministry, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done a great job for the welfare of crores of farmers, women, laborers, who are associated with cooperatives,” he said.
The Home Minister also informed that Modi will inaugurate the idol of Lord Adi Shankaracharyaji in Kedarnath Dham on November 5.
“The reconstruction of Kedarnath is about to be completed today whereas the all-weather road for Char Dham Yatra is also going to be completed today,” he said.
He also promised tap water connections to every household before 2022.
“It is our resolve to provide tap water to every household even in the inaccessible areas of Uttarakhand. I assure that every household of Uttarakhand will get tap water before December 2022,” he said.
Talking about the Covid vaccination drive in the state, he said Uttarakhand is one of the states to complete 100 per cent vaccination of the first dose to prevent coronavirus.
The Home Minister also launched the Mukhyamantri Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana under which the farmers will be given animal fodder at the rate of Rs.2 per kg at 30 per cent subsidy.
Under the scheme, about 1,000 acres of land will be cultivated in Uttarakhand and 2,000 farmers will cultivate maize. “This type of scientific method of fodder growing will not only improve the health of the animals but also increase the milking capacity of the animals,” he said.
