Honest taxpayers backbone of India’s progress, development: Shah

New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) Describing that the honest tax payers are the backbone of India’s progress and development, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that the launch of new transparent Taxation portal by the Prime Minister Modi will strengthen the taxation system.
Taking to twitter, he said “Launch of ‘Transparent Taxation-Honoring the Honest’ is a gift to our taxpayers by PM@narendramodi & FM @nsitharaman.With reforms like faceless assessment, faceless appeal & taxpayers charter this platform will further strengthen our taxation system”.
“Modi govt has taken several landmark decisions to empower and honor the honest taxpayers who are the backbone of India’s progress & development. This platform is another step towards PM @narendramodiji's resolve of 'Minimum Government, Maximum Governance”, Mr Shah further said in his tweet message.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a taxation platform through video-conferencing to honour honest tax payers and bring more transparency in the tax collection.
Speaking after launching a platform ‘Transparent Taxation - Honoring The Honest’ to honour the honest taxpayers of the country, the Prime Minister said the new tax reforms will instill a sense of fearlessness among the honest taxpayers who play an important role in national development.
