New Delhi, Jul 18 (UNI) The Congress on Saturday asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party has now come into a defensive stance over the alleged conspiracy behind toppling Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan, as there are signs of its national leadership coming into the picture related to what happened in the desert state.
Addressing the media here, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said that BJP's spokesman Sambit Patra today openly admitted his party's alleged involvement in the killing of democracy by admitting horse-trading happened in Rajasthan.
Khera further said that the BJP is under fear today, as it is aware of the fact that not only a central minister is involved in this matter, but, there are other leaders above him who can also come under the suspiscion.
This has happened for the first time that to stop the probe against them that the party has openly come out , misusing government machinery being in power.
The voice samples of Congress MLAs is not being allowed to be taken, whose voices are is being allegedly heard in the so-called audio tapes.
Sharpening his attack, Khera further said that this has happened for the first time the Haryana police actively blocked their Rajasthan Police counterparts, allowing the said MLAs to sneak out.
“The BJP has openly misused the machinery of the Manohar Lal Khattar government to foil an ongoing probe,' the Congress leader alleged.
