New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on India reporting highest number of COVID cases in last 24 hours.
Taking a dig at a recent comment by the PM that India is better off than other countries as far as the situation on COVID is concerned, Rahul tweeted, 'the right decisions at the right time means India is better off than other countries. PM.'
He also posted on his Twitter account a comparative graph of ten countries on the number of COVID cases reported by them in the last 24 hours which showed that India reported the maximum number of COVID cases in the country in the previous 24 hours.
India reported 52,972 COVID-19 cases on Monday, as the tally of such cases crossed the 18-lakh mark in the country.
After India, the graph showed the USA with 47,511 cases, Brazil with 25,800 cases, Peru with 21,358 cases and Colombia with 11,470 cases in the last 24 hours. The number of patients who have recovered from the disease also surged to over 11.86 lakh in the country, according to the union health ministry.
The country had reported over 50,000 COVID-19 cases for the fifth day in a row.
Rahul has been constantly attacking the PM and the NDA government on the management of COVID infection in the country.
