India will pay a huge price because of government's cowardly actions: Rahul

New Delhi, Jul 18 (UNI) Continuing his attack on the Narendra Modi government on the India China border standoff, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said 'India will pay a huge price because of Government ’s cowardly actions.
In a post on Social media, Rahul said, 'China has taken our land and the Government of India is behaving like Chamberlain. This will further embolden China".
'India is going to pay a huge price because of GOI’s cowardly actions,' Rahul tweeted.
The mention of 'Chamberlain' by Rahul was an apparent reference to the late British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, who followed a policy of appeasement towards Adolf Hitler and Germany in the 1930s.
Political observers said that the policy followed by Chamberlain and in particular his signing of the Munich Agreement on 30 September 1938, conceding the German-speaking Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to Germany,, allowed Hitler to expand his territory.
The policy followed by Chamberlain broke down after Hitler violated the deal to occupy the rest of Czechoslovakia. Later, Germany invaded Poland on 1 September 1939, which marked the beginning of World War II.
Rahul also posted on his Twitter account a short video of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh speaking to soldiers during in Ladakh on Friday during his visit to the border area.
Rahul Gandhi and the Congress have repeatedly attacked the NDA government on the India China border standoff and have accused the government of failing to prevent Chinese incursion on Indian territory.
