New Delhi, Jul 10 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party president J P Nadda on Friday said the solar power plant project with a capacity of 750 MW at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh help in curbing 15.7 lakh tonnes of carbon emissions every year, which is equivalent to planting 26 million trees, and its benefits will reach the poor, middle class, farmers and tribals.
Mr Nadda congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who earlier in the day inaugurated the Asia's largest solar power plant project, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the historic step.
'The Project's benefits will reach the poor, middle class, farmers and tribal siblings. Solar power will be a major medium of need which is sure, pure and secure,' Mr Nadda said in his tweets.
