New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) Reshuffle in Rajasthan Congress will take place as soon as Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot recovers from his ailments, and comes back to work, Congress General Secretary and in-charge for the state Ajay Maken said on Thursday.
"We have our roadmap ready, we have our plan in place for all that has to be done, we are waiting for Ashok Gehlot to get better," Maken said, adding that along with the reshuffle, appointments at board corporations and of district presidents will also be appointed.
"We wanted to carry out the cabinet reshuffle before the assembly session, but because of the chief minister's health situation, we had to postpone it," Maken told reporters.
Asked about Sachin Pilot, he said any decision on the leader will only be taken by the central leadership of the party.
He refused to comment on MLA Ved Prakash Solanki, who has been blamed for cross voting which led to the Congress losing the post of Jaipur Zila Pramukh.
The Congress in Jaipur, despite receiving the mandate in the Zila Parishad polls with 27 seats and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) getting 24, lost the post of Pramukh as two of the ruling Congress candidates voted for the BJP.
There has been a power tussle between Gehlot and Pilot in Rajasthan, and both sides have their loyalists who they want to be appointed on different posts.
Amid friction between the two camps, Maken had held extensive discussions with all Congress MLAs in the state in July.
