Why opposition silent over Bengal, Bihar killings, Rajasthan minors' rape? asks BJP

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party here on Monday called the Opposition biased over Hathras incident and asked when it will show a similar concern to BJP and Rashtriya Janata Dal workers killed in West Bengal and Bihar respectively and two minors raped in Rajasthan.
Addressing a press conference here, the BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra accused the opposition leaders of doing selected politics and asserted that democracy was in no danger.
'If any political party feels that any injustice has happened, then they are free to go there and raise their voice but cannot be allowed to cause friction in communities and religions. It is not appropriate to incite riots and spread disharmony in the name of justice,' he alleged.
He said the manner in which BJP councilor and local leader Manish Shukla was killed in 24 North Parganas on October 4 is in itself condemnable and a matter of concern.
"The death of BJP Councillor Manish Sukla is shocking. He was murdered in front of Titagarh Police station by people with covered faces who shot him. He was very close to BJP MP from Barrackpore Arjun Singh,' he stated.'
As many as 115 activists have been killed in Bengal. I want to ask Mamata Banerjee - Is this the democracy in Bengal? She and her representatives visit different states to talk about injustices, so I want to ask her - when will you visit the family of Manish Shukla?, he questioned.
Quoting Rabindra Nath Tagore, he said the more workers are killed in Bengal, the more powerful the BJP will become and this tyranny will be responded to democratically.
In Bihar, Shakti Kumar Malik, a prominent Dalit youth leader, was killed, he said. The BJP spokesperson said the RJD will have to answer for the kind of politics we are seeing in Bihar.
Dr Patra said Malik was previously the general secretary of the RJD's Scheduled Caste Morcha. "A few days before he was expelled from the party. He was preparing to contest the Bihar assembly elections as Independent from Raniganj," he said.
'Malik's wife alleged that RJD leaders were demanding money in extortion, but the Dalit leader refused.
'He has named Mr Tej Pratap Yadav and Mr Tejaswi Yadav. Who will answer this?' the BJP leader asked.
He said that the incident of rape of minor girls was reported at Baran in Rajasthan a few days ago. "A leader from Chhattisgarh said that this is a small incident. Rape for Congress leaders is also getting small and big," he alleged.
He said that the opposition should answer that if their leaders are fond of "political tourism" then when will they go to the homes of these persons.
