Pinarayi Vijayan govt messed up Covid-19 crisis in Kerala, says Nadda

New Delhi, Jul 12 (UNI) BJP National president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday took a dig at the ruling LDF government in Kerala, saying the Pinarayi Vijayan government has messed up the Covid-19 crisis in Kerala.
'They tried to suppress actual figures, even Indian Medical Association (IMA) and doctors came out saying that we should increase testing but the state government's attitude was always negative,' he said while addressing party workers of Kerala virtually.
Legislative Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Kerala in May 2021.
Mr Nadda slammed the Kerala government for allegedly lying about the quarantine facilities in the state for the coronavirus victims and claimed "people suffered due to that". He also talked about Sprinklr deal and alleged that medical data of the state is being compromised.
He attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is a Lok Sabha MP from the state, as well for his controversial statements to malign the image of the country. In a dig at Mr Gandhi, he said wryly that the country was aware of his patriotism, and added that the Congress leader had "secretly" met the Chinese envoy in India during the Doklam crisis and "misled" the nation before people got to know about it when the envoy put out the information.
Mr Gandhi skipped 11 meetings of the Parliament's committee on defence, and this shows his dedication to the issue, Mr Nadda said, and accused him of "demoralising" the defence forces.
He attacked the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government in Kerala questioning its involvement in a high-profile gold smuggling case.
He said, "The colour of gold is yellow everywhere but in Kerala, it is red, red and red. What is the relationship between that IT officer and the personal secretary of the Chief Minister?" We can see the heat in CM's office also.'
Mr Nadda said he wrote to the Prime Minister saying no stone should remain unturned as far as the investigation is concerned. 'We have a saying 'chor ki daadi mein tinka', it means the office of CM is also involved somewhere,' he further added.
The BJP president virtually inaugurated the newly constructed BJP District Committee office ‘Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Mandiram’ at Kasargod in Kerala.
