BJP flays Rahul for 'insulting bravery of soldiers'

New Delhi, Jul 27 (UNI) Lashing out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his latest remarks on the Ladakh face-off, the BJP on Monday said he was insulting the bravery of 20 soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Galwan Valley, and alleged his family ceded thousands of kms of land to China.
'During the tenure of various governments led by the Gandhi family, they ceded more than 43,000 sq kms of Indian land to China and you have the gumption to utter lies day in and day out,' BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao told reporters here.
Earlier in the day, reiterating that the Chinese have occupied Indian land and that hiding the truth and allowing them to take it (Indian land) is 'anti-national', Mr Gandhi said that he will continue to speak the truth on China even if it costs him his political career.
