New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) BJP veteran L K Advani on Wednesday welcomed the judgement on Babri Masjid Demolition Case and said the verdict vindicates his personal and his party’s belief and commitment towards the Ram Janmabhoomi Movement.
'I wholeheartedly welcome the significant judgement delivered today by the Special Court in the Babri Masjid Demolition Case. The judgement vindicates my personal and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s belief and commitment towards the Ram Janmabhoomi Movement,' Mr Advani said in a statement here.
A special CBI court in acquitted all the 32 accused, including Mr Advani, MM Joshi, Uma Bharati in the December 6, 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case.
Mr Advani said he felt blessed the judgement has come in the footsteps of another landmark Supreme Court verdict on the Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya.
'I also feel blessed that this judgement has come in the footsteps of another landmark verdict of the Supreme Court given in November 2019,which paved the way for my long cherished dream of seeing a grand Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, the foundation laying ceremony of which was held on 5th August, 2020,' he said.
Mr Advani expressed his grateful to his party workers, leaders, saints and all those, who through their selfless involvement and sacrifices gave him strength and support during the Ayodhya Movement.
He said, 'I also greatly value the contribution of my legal team headed by Shri Mahipal Ahluwalia. For all these years, Mahipal ji, his son Anurag Ahluwalia and their team have looked into every aspect of this case with utmost dedication.'
The BJP leader said alongwith millions of countrymen, he now looked forward to the completion of the beautiful Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya.
He said, 'May Shri Ram keep us blessed always,' and chanted 'Jai Sri Ram'.

The court observed that the incident was not pre-planned and the accused had tried to persuade the mob against demolishing the structure.
Special Judge Surendra Kumar Yadav read his exhaustive judgement in the presence of all the 32 accused, of which 26 were present physically.
The court rejected the evidence against the accused given by the CBI saying there is no such evidence against them.
As there was no concrete evidence, hence all the accused have been acquitted, the judge said.
