New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI) Australia is looking forward to enhanced defence and strategic partnership with India, says the country's Defence Minister Lynda Reynolds.
Reynolds said Australia will enhance engagement in support of a "shared vision for a more secure, open, inclusive and prosperous Indo-Pacific."
"Our defence relationship with India at a historic highpoint... and I look forward to further develop our Comprehensive Strategic partnership into the future," Reynolds said in a statement accessed here.
The navies of two countries on September 23-24 took part in a passage exercise in northern Indian Ocean.
In June, Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Scott Morrison held a virtual meeting and the two countries inked a military logistic agreement and another on Science and Technology cooperation under the comprehensive strategic partnership.
"ADF (Australia Defence Forbes) is working with our close regional partner to enhance interoperability and deepen engagement under comprehensive strategic partnership," she said in a tweet.
