PM, Sonia condole demise of film director Kundan Shah

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday condoled the passing away of eminent filmmaker Kundan Shah. In his message Mr Modi said, “Anguished by the passing away of Shri Kundan Shah. He will be remembered for his wonderful usage of humour and satire to showcase the life and struggles of common citizens. My thoughts are with his family and admirers. May his soul rest in peace”. The Congress President while remembering the late filmmaker said, "Kundan Shah's contribution to alternate cinema is remarkable. His movies and television series are epic and will inspire generations to come". Ms Gandhi expressed solidarity with the friends and members of family of Kundan Shah and prayed that his soul finds eternal peace. The veteran director passed away at his Mumbai residence early morning after suffering a heart attack. He was 69. UNI RBE AE 1714
