PM to deliver keynote address at India Ideas Summit on July 22

New Delhi, Jul 21 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the keynote address at the India Ideas Summit on July 22 that will discuss India-US cooperation in a post-COVID 19 world.

The virtual Summit on the theme 'Building a better Future' is being hosted by the US-India Business Council.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the formation of the Council, the External Affairs Ministry said in a
statement here.

The Summit will be addressed by External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Senator of Virginia and co-chair of Senate India Caucus Mark Warner, former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, among others. Several other high-level Indian and US government policymakers, officials and business leaders will also speak at the Summit.

The Prime Minister has said COVID 19 had severely tested the resilience of all nations. India had tried to make
the fight against the pandemic a people's movement by combining the efforts of the government and civil; society.

society,' the Prime Minister tweeted on July 17.

The two-day Summit will have different sessions. 'In every session leaders, diplomats, scholars, senior
executives of business companies, think tanks are invited to share their thoughts and opinions,' officials
said

The annual Summit is organized to showcase the importance of the positive outcome of the India-US economic
partnership and the overall bilateral relationship between the two countries.
The Prime Minister said on Monday after a video interaction with IBM CEO Arvind Krishna that work from
home culture was being adopted a big way in a post COVID atmosphere and the government was constantly
working towards providing infrastructure, connectivity and a regulatory environment to ensure that this a shift in technology was smooth.
