PM congratulates Apurvi Chandela for bagging Gold at ISSF World Cup

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Indian shooter Apurvi Chandela for bagging Gold in the women's 10m Air Rifle event in the ISSF World Cup.
"A historic accomplishment by a stellar athlete! Congratulations to @apurvichandela for winning the Gold in the 10m Air Rifle event at the ISSF World Cup. Her success makes every Indian proud and motivates more youngsters to excel in various sports!", PM said in a tweet.
Apurvi Chandela broke the world record clinching yellow metal in the women's 10m Air Rifle event, the tournament's first final at the ISSF World Cup here at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range on Saturday.
Apurvi, Commonwealth gold medallist shot a scintillating world record score of 252.9 winning the gold for the country.
While China had to settle for silver and bronze respectively with Ruozhu Zhao shot (251.8), and Hong Xu (230.4).
