New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) The founder and first CEO of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Fakir Chand Kohli passed away on Thursday, TCS said. He was 96.
In the year 2002, Kohli, who was known as the father of Indian IT, was awarded the Padma Bhushan for his contribution to the Indian software industry. He had retired in 1999 at the age of 75.
Born in Peshawar in 1924 (now in Pakistan), he graduated from Government College for Men in Lahore under Punjab University. He also did BSc.
