Green India Challenge: Sonu Sood plants saplings

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood on Wednesday participated in #GreenIndiaChallenge, and planted three saplings, urging citizens of the country to plant a tree.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Sonu shared a picture of him planting saplings and said,"I've accepted #HaraHaiTohBharaHai #GreenindiaChallenge from @SreenuVaitla Planted 3 saplings. Further I request every citizen to plant a tree & continue this chain, special thanks to @MPsantoshtrs for taking this intiative @kadambari Kiran for asking me to join this good task."
The 47-year-old actor has also been recently honoured with the prestigious SDG 'Special Humanitarian Action' Award by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), for helping migrant workers reach home during the Covid-19 lockdown.
