Shah, Javadekar, other Union ministers pay tribute to Dr Kalam

New Delhi, Jul 27 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar and other Cabinet ministers on Monday paid tribute to the 11th President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his fifth death anniversary.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Shah said,"Tributes to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, an epitome of intellect, wisdom and simplicity. A People’s President, who left indelible marks on several fields ranging from science to politics. His relentless quest for knowledge continues to inspire and capture the idea of self-reliant India."
Mr Javadekar said,"My deepest and humble tribute to former President of India, Bharat Ratna, Missile Man Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary."
Law and Justice minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said,"My tribute to the former President of India, great teacher and eminent scientist "Bharat Ratna" Dr. #APJAbdulKalam Ji on his death anniversary."
HRD minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said,"The former President of India who inspired the youth through his thoughts, the great writer, known as Missile Man, "Bharataratna" Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, my deepest tribute on his death anniversary. His life will always inspire the generations to come."
Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said,"Those who wait get only as much as that left by those who try! Emotional tribute on the death anniversary of former President, #MissileMan, famous scientist, Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam ji. His ideal life will always inspire the citizens.
"Self-confidence and hard work are the best medicine to kill the disease called failure. It makes you a successful person. Dr Kalam dreamed of a capable India of the 21st century and made his distinctive contribution in this direction. By adopting his personality, the pinnacle of success can be reached," Dr Vardhan added.
Road Transport minister Nitin Gadkari said,"Humble tributes on the death anniversary of Dr A P J Abdul Kalam."
While delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong, Dr Kalam collapsed and died from an apparent cardiac arrest on July 27, 2015, aged 83.
Kalam was elected as the 11th President of India in 2002 with the support of both the ruling BJP and the then-opposition INC. Widely referred to as the "People's President", he returned to his civilian life of education, writing and public service after a single term.
He was a recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.
