Strong support needed to finance startup ecosystem to drive sharp post-pandemic revival: Report

New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) A strong support system to finance the startup ecosystem should be put in place to drive a sharp post-pandemic revival and sustainably high economic growth thereafter, a panel report has said.
India is one of the few large economies that has the potential to deliver high economic growth for a sustainable future and this can only be made possible by providing adequate growth capital -- debt and equity -- to India’s dynamic entrepreneurs, said the 12th Report of the Standing Committee on Finance on the subject 'Financing the StartupEcosystem'.
The Committee, chaired by BJP leader Jayant Sinha, said with adequate risk capital backing them, they can provide innovative new services which can have a multiplier effect on the economy.
