Trinamool Congress flays Govt decision not to have Question Hour

New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Trinamool Congress leader in Rajya Sabha Derek O'Brien has strongly opposed the decision to do away with Question Hour in the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament and claimed that the Government does not want to give Opposition members a chance to question ministers.
Mr O'Brien on Thursday tweeted that the Government was not allowing Question Hour in Parliament as it did not want the Opposition members to question their ministers as they would have to answer and be made responsible.
"You don’t allow Question Hour where ministers have to stand up and answer Qs from MPs and be held accountable. Now you only condescend to allow written Questions/Answers!," he said in a series of tweets.
