NTA refutes reports of NEET-UG 2024 question paper leak; calls it baseless and without any ground

NTA refutes reports of NEET-UG 2024 question paper leak; calls it baseless and without any ground

New Delhi, May 06 (UNI) The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday refuted the reports about the leakage of NEET-UG 2024 question paper, saying it is "completely baseless and without any ground".
"It has been ascertained from NTA's security protocols and Standard Operating Procedures that the Social Media Posts pointing towards any paper leak are completely baseless and without any ground," NTA said in a statement.
The NTA clarification came after the various reports circulating on the social media about the Question Paper got leaked before the commencement of examination on Sunday.
The agency said, "To put rumours to rest, it is also stated that every single Question Paper (QP) has been accounted for. Further, it is also to be noted that after the gates of the Examination Centres are closed, no one from outside is permitted access inside the Halls which are under CCTV surveillance."
The agency also urged the candidates, their parents, teachers and all concerned to not pay heed to such rumours and concentrate on forthcoming examinations.
On 5th May ( Sunday) the NTA conducted NEET (UG) 2024 examination across 4750 centres in 571 cities, including 14 cities abroad.
The agency claimed that the NEET UG 2024 saw record-high registrations of over 24 lakh students participated, with over 10 lakh male students, and over 13 lakh female students which is the highest ever in the country.
Mentioning about the one incident at a Centre in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan where some students forcibly took away the QPs before the conclusion of the examination, the agency said, "A picture of this QP is being linked to alleged incident of paper leak which is mischievous and preposterous."
"There is no way any external person or agency can access the centres, once the examination starts... adding that all other photographs of QPs circulating in social media have no relation to the actual examination Question Paper which has been administered," said NTA.
