New Delhi, June 19 UNI) The Supreme court on Tuesday refused to give an urgent hearing into the plea filed by apex court lawyer, Shashank Deo, seeking action against Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly staging dharna.
The top court vacation bench, headed by Justice S Abdul Nazeer and also comprising Justice Indu Malhotra refused to give an urgent hearing into the mentioning by Mr Deo seeking action against Kejriwal for staging dharna.
Mr Deo on Tuesday moved the apex court and mentioned his matter before the SC seeking action against Kejriwal for staging dharna.
The top court, however, did not find any urgency in the mentioning and said, we would hear it after vacation, after July 01.
The case is pending before the Delhi High Court, where the issue would be taken up for an hearing on Friday.
Mr Deo in his mentioning told the two-judge vacation bench of the top court that people of Delhi were facing crisis of water and electricity, so thereby the SC should hear the matter on a priority basis, which the top court refused.
