NGT ban on demonstrations near Jantar Mantar irrational: Cong

New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) The Congress spokesman Kapil Sibal said Congress was in support of all such parties who were against the recent National Green Tribunal (NGT) directive banning demonstrations by different outfits in support of their demands, near Jantar-Mantar in the National Capital. In a regular media briefing here on Friday, the Congress spokesman said he failed to understand how such demonstrations were causing pollution hazard in a thinly- populated area around Jantar Mantar. NGT on Thursday had ordered the Delhi government to remove all temporary structures and public address systems put up by different outfits from Jantar Mantar area immediately. It also asked the Delhi government to ensure that no crowd assembled around the area. UNI JPG SHK 2054
