CCRGA takes note of failure by states to constitute Committees to regulate content of govt advertising

New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) The three-member committee on Content Regulation in Government Advertising (CCRGA) has taken a serious note of failure by many states to constitute their respective state-level Committees for regulation of content of government advertising, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry said on Monday.
The 19th meeting of the Supreme Court-mandated CCRGA Committee, held virtually on September 4, was of the view that some state governments' delay in setting up the state-level committees may be construed as the contempt of the Supreme Court order.
As per the directions of the apex court, the states were mandated to set up their respective three-member committees on Content Regulation of Government Advertisements. Karnataka, Goa, Mizoram and Nagaland have already constituted the three-member state-level Committees.
