New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) The temperature of the national capital plummeted by several degrees on Monday following light rain.
The maximum temperature decreased by three notches following light rain in some parts of the city towards evening, forcing Delhiites to take out their heavy woollens.
The maximum temperature settled at 24.2 degree Celsius from yesterday's at 27.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal for the season.
In morning, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.2 degree Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
At least 10 trains were cancelled and two rescheduled due to poor weather condition.
According to a Met official, there was trace of light drizzle in various parts of the national capital.
The weatherman has forecast cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle for tomorrow. The minimum and the maximum temperatures likely to hover at around 10 and 23 degree C respectively.
