New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) The Delhi Taxi Tourist Transporters Association on Monday wrote a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and demanded to reduce VAT, in order to reduce the price of diesel and petrol.
Sanjay Samrat, president of Transporters Association, said the Central government has made diesel cheaper by Rs 10 and petrol by Rs 5 per litre by reducing the Excise duty. Due to this move, the drivers have got some relief.
The association said that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, drivers of the national capital have already been facing trouble and high prices of petrol and diesel are also adding to their woes. The Delhi government should reduce VAT from diesel and petrol now, so that the drivers get some relief.
