SC Bar Association Election Committee resigns after panel decides to hold polls in hybrid manner

New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) All the three members of the Supreme Court Bar Association's election committee have tendered their resignation after passing a resolution in a recent meeting by the Executive Committee with a decision to hold the next polls in a hybrid form, including both physical and virtual system of voting.
The lawyers' body have decided to hold the upcoming election on a digital platform and entered into discussions with NSDL, a digital firm, to conduct the polls, an official statement said here on Saturday.
Members of the panel were taking the decision after noting the change in situation of the pandemic and the change of approach of governments while opening public places and offices, it said.
