New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi on Friday met Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary and Director General of Police (DGP) and took stock of the law and order situation in Ayodhya and other parts of the state.
According to sources in the Supreme Court registry, the CJI took stock of the situation in Ayodhya and other sensitive places in UP, ahead of the landmark Ayodhya Ram Janmabhumi Babri masjid land dispute case.
The top officials of the state government briefed the CJI that they are prepared and have taken all the necessary steps for maintaining the law and order situation.
