New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) BJP MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi has sought party ticket for her son for UP assembly elections and she even offered to quit her parliamentary seat for the purpose.
She met party's election incharge Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday and demanded ticket for her son from Lucknow Cantt seat. She has also written a letter to BJP President JP Nadda in this regard.
Talking to media persons, Joshi said BJP has decided to give only one ticket from a family and she has offered to quit her parliamentary seat in case of any difficulty in giving ticket to her son.
She said her son has been active in politics and social work since 2009 and he deserves a party ticket.
Besides Joshi, BJP has a long list of party leaders seeking party ticket for their sons and they include MP Jagdambika Pal, union minister Kaushal Kishore, parliamentarian Satyadev Pachauri, and Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya.
